Price Tick, Quantity Step and Minimum-Notional Checker
Catch decimal-grid and bound mismatches before you prepare an order.
Hypothetical price 100.03 and quantity 0.1054 do not align with a 0.05 price tick and 0.001 quantity step. Their entered notional is 10.543162, which clears the supplied minimum of 10. One of three checks passes. Rounded-down candidates are 100 and 0.105; they are shown for inspection, not applied as an order.
What this helps you check
A price that looks precise can still miss a tick grid, and a quantity can miss a step despite meeting minimum notional. This worksheet evaluates a supplied subset of static order filters using decimal-safe arithmetic. It shows each entered-value check and displays rounded-down candidates separately.
Passing these checks means only that the entered values meet the enabled static subset. Dynamic price bands, account limits and provider rules may still reject an order. Rounded candidates require fresh checks and are never treated as proof of a valid complete order.

How the worksheet works
- Every enabled nonzero rule adds one applicable check: price tick, quantity step, min/max price, min/max quantity, min/max notional.
- Decimal grid rules use integer-scaled decimal strings: price modulo tick_size=0 and quantity modulo quantity_step=0; do not use binary floating-point %.
- notional=price*quantity; compare against supplied notional bounds.
- Rounded candidates use floor(price/tick_size)*tick_size and floor(quantity/quantity_step)*quantity_step, retaining entered values if the corresponding step is disabled.
- Only entered parameters are evaluated; rounded candidates are not automatically applied or treated as a valid complete order.
Passing these checks means only that the entered values meet the enabled static subset. Dynamic price bands, account limits and provider rules may still reject an order. Rounded candidates require fresh checks and are never treated as proof of a valid complete order.
Boundaries to keep in view
- At most 12 fractional digits per decimal input; reject exponent notation for exact-filter operands.
- Reject contradictory enabled minimum/maximum bounds.
- Limit-order subset only: dynamic percent-price bands, market-price averaging, venue account rules and unknown filters are not checked.
- A passed local subset does not guarantee exchange acceptance.
